Program Rules – “Don’ts”
Don't use more than two or three sentences
to greet your callers.
Don't promote your website if it does not
have anything of value to offer to the caller.
Don't insert a slogan or tag line unless
necessary.
Don't say "Please" before you present each
and every option (e.g. "Please press 1 to ...
Please press 2 to... Please press 3 to..." etc.)
Never offer a caller more than “three”
choices. If you have more than three, break it into
two tiers.
Never trap a caller so that they cannot reach
a live person.
