Developing the “THREE” Elements of a Plan
of 13
Once a management style has been selected, and the
priorities have been established, planners can develop
the three distinct facets of telecommunication planning:
1.
Strategic or long-range planning: Strategic
planning is thinking about what you are going
to do, and why.
2.
Current, or short-range planning: Short range
planning is about putting the numbers and
resources together to do a piece of it.
3.
Operational planning: Operational planning is
about tweaking with the nuts and bolts of the
environment to make it work.
